When the inner
light outshines the outer glow,
The sun shines
brighter but fails to lighten up
Yet the invisible
blaze in all its glory burns off
And those bold red
carnations embellish the bouquet no more
To build dreams, to
craft magic
You open the
Pandora’s box only to discover some fathomless vagueness
Because, that’s
what you learn and that’s what you earn
In the end
To fill up your
treasure trove!
When the musical
soiree fails to enliven the right spirits
And the torpid
strumming makes no music
Let the fingers
bleed but bottle up your conscience
Touch the darkness but
fake that smile
Play with words but
keep them vague
For we all need that
vagueness now
To accept, grow and
know
That even sunshine
burns you out if you get that too much!
…and to learn
What you let loose,
loses direction
And what you hold
tight is not yours…
